Soprano Lise Lindstrom (pictured left) will have her San Francisco Opera debut as Senta in Der fliegende Holländer, which opens on October 22, 2013. Lindstrom replaces Petra Maria Schnitzer, who has withdrawn from the production for health reasons.

I was excited when this was announced and promptly bought a ticket for Saturday’s performance. Wish they would change the opera to Salome….but whatever. I’ve been wanting to see/hear Ms. Lindstrom live and my wish is coming true.

she’s sounding great!! upper balcony standing or top seats will be the best for sound quality…blew me away @ today’s reh.
