The Met announced the 2015-2016 season today. There will be 227 performances of 25 operas, including six new productions. The new productions are Otello, Lulu, Les Pêcheurs de Perles, Manon Lescaut, Roberto Devereux, and Elektra.

    What a bland Met season next year. I daresay SFO has the most interesting line-up for 2015-16.

    I’m waiting for Washington National to announce their season before declaring SFO has the most interesting season. I can’t imagine them doing anything out of the box, but will wait “until the Fat lady sings…”
