    The March ’09 issue of Opera Magazine mentions (in the “We hear that…” section) Graham Vick will direct a new Mozart-Da Ponte trilogy for San Francisco Opera, c. Nicola Luisotti, beginning in 2010-11.
    I don’t know if this is good news. His recent Lucia kind of sucked but I liked his Tannhauser…

    Interesting, thanks for the heads up. I liked the Lucia, though the Tannhäuser was better. I’m sure Luisotti’s Mozart will be quite animated.
