    Amazing that there is neither Mozart nor Handel . . . nothing earlier than bel canto.

    It makes it all the more imperative that one attend Rinaldo this March, I suppose. I might skip next season though, even if the casts here look strong.

    I know . . . I’m trying to work something out.
    BTW, COC (www.coc.ca) has announced, and they are presenting the Chicago Opera Theatre production of “La Clemenza di Tito”, of which I only saw the second half b/c my plane was late. Could be next season’s trip . . .

    MN Opera just announced (www.startribune.com) – could this be a trend, in that there is no Mozart or other pre-1800 opera in their season either? The Handel/Gluck resurgence seems to have peaked.
