San Francisco Opera‘s Costume Shop Sale Preview was held as a donor event yesterday, complete with valet parking and cocktails. The array of clothing and accoutrements is stunning. I contemplated getting the armor Susan Graham wore in Ariodante (2008), but had to concede that it probably took up too much space and certainly is too large for me to wear. I did purchase a mask worn in rehearsal of this opera. The sale proper will be held today from 10:30 am to 5 pm and tomorrow from 10:30 am to 4 pm at 800 Indiana Street in San Francisco. One imagines the lines will be long, so bring friends to talk to or a book to read.

He slept most of the time, but was patient about meeting a lot of our opera friends.

Congratulations! What a cutie pie. So impressed you are out and about, I think I stayed home for months before venturing out to anything other than pedi appts!
